Side note, Cooper Flagg is 17 and gave team USA the work in practice today 😂
That kid is beyond special! Which is why I'm still a little puzzled by GM Rafael Stone trading the Brooklyn Nets' unprotected first-round pick in 2026, along with the ability to swap an unprotected first-round pick with the Nets in 2025. We traded, at worse, two 4th overall picks in back-to-back years because the Nets will surely suck!! With a chance that the Nets' pick in 2025 is 1st overall. If that happens I'm going to scream because we gave up Cooper Flagg. LOL. But the NBA lottery makes it difficult to get the 1st pick anyway.
In the end we traded a 2025 swap and a 2026 first with the Nets for a 2025 swap with Suns and a 2027 and 2029 unprotected first (two firsts) with the Suns. Those picks may turn into something more valuable down the road. Assuming the Nets don't end up with the first overall pick in 2025 for Cooper Flagg. The Suns will surely rebuild at some point by 2027 and 2029. Adding more value to those picks.
