Of course Pippen would say this. He averaged 2 steals per game for his career, with peak 2,9 one season. Add Jordans 2,3 per game for his season, with peak 3,2 one season.
There's not enough possessions for them to get more steals. JUst looking at one random season they had 9,5 steals per game as a team, and enemies averaged 92 possesions per game.
Maybe Scottie is mad about some single game where it would say Jordan had 5 steals and Pippen 2 steals and Pippen believes he should've had 4 at least.
Then we can argue this : if you tip a ball and its going to end up out of bounds, like you poke it away but you dont control it. Someone else grabs it. Who stole it?

There's actual evidence to Jordan getting steals that weren't steals. A lot of them. Fabricated DPOY. Did you read it? Apparently not.
