Season: .314/.428/.627, 33 HR, 77 RBI, 92 R, 13 SB, 16.0 BB%, 21.4 K%, .314 ISO, .433 wOBA. He leads MLB in OPS, wOBA, wRC+, and is 2nd in WAR. 1 of only 2 MLB players with a .300/.400/.600 stat line.

Second half: .354/.488/.767, 18 HR, 43 RBI, 1.255 OPS. Only 3 other players since 1901 have posted a better Slugging Percentage after the All-Star break than Harper this season. Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, and Sammy Sosa. :o

Last 30 days: .371/.475/.814, 11 HR, 27 RBI, 23 R, 16.7 BB%, 18.3 K%, .443 IS0, .517 wOBA. Unreal.

Bryce Harper has been held hitless in just 1 of his last 22 games.

In that span:

98 PA, .418/.510/.924, 1.434 OPS, 10 HR

He has reached base 49 times.

In the most crucial stretch the Phillies have played in years, their superstar has been more of a supernova.

He's doing EVERYTHING he can to carry the Phillies to the postseason. Go ahead and give this man his MVP award.

Lol, not quite.

And as much as I don’t mind the Phillies, unfortunately they won’t be seeing any post season action this year brother.

Neither of them are close to winning MVP

Padres might sneak into the final wild card if they get their ish together though.

It’ll be a 3 way race between St Lou, Cinci and SD.

Ummm....what?

They're the only two MVP candidates at this point and it's not even close...

Ohtani is the huuuuuge AL MVP favorite right now, currently -2500 rofl. Guy is a freak though as a pitcher and able to hit like this regularly.

Ohtani: .256/.359/.598 with a .957 OPS. He has 44 HR's and 94 RBI on the season.

Harper: .314/.428/.627 with a 1.055 OPS. He has 33 HR's and 77 RBI on the season.

Ohtani with more power, but Harper has been the better hitter overall for sure.

Ohtani and Guerrero both > them easy

Marcus Semien who’s going to finish 3 or 4 in AL MVP votes would even give both of them a run for their money for NL MVP if he was in the NL

AL is just op with star power right now

What you're saying is not making sense....

Harper leads all of baseball in OPS, wOBA, wRC+, and is 2nd in WAR.

Harper MLB ranks
Avg - #3
OBP - #2
SLG - #2
OPS - #1

Ohtani is going to win MVP because he's having a great year hitting, but more so because he's having that season at the plate AND on the mound. If he wasn't pitching that well he wouldn't win MVP, obviously. That would go to Vlad.
