I mean was I really that unrealistic? They underachieved, we all know this?

I also said McCutchen was a great add, which he was, and then he went down in the first few weeks of the season with a season ending injury.

On paper doesn't always translate, example A the 2019 Phillies.


Okay, 90 wins didn't happen they're an 80 win team. Boo hoo lol, it's not like I said they're a world series lock.

The lineup was upgraded, and did perform better than the previous year, just not AS much as we would have expected. :wallbash:

There are many, many more good quotes Terps. Keep on digging!

I like the one where he was bragging about how they were the first team to ever acquire 4 all stars in the same off-season. That sure worked out!

But I think my favourite and I really wish I could find the quote (not sure if it was in this sub or FnR) was when DM mentioned that the Eagles had 3 straight road games in October because the league must have assumed the Phillies would be playing October baseball 🤣🤣

If you're going to quote me, at least be accurate.

Those acquisitions turned out to be just fine? Bryce had a good season where he hit a career high RBI's and the second most hits and HR's of his career. J.T. Realmuto was the best catcher in baseball, and Jean Segura had a Jean Segura caliber season.


The October baseball thing is pretty funny though rofl
