Long story short, i went to get a cut and he was there and had a chance to bullshit with him and a few other guys about Bryce Harper. Of course I'm asking for info and giving him a hard time, and he said all he knows is that there is a major offer on the table from the Phillies. He mentioned that Harper is aware of the Phillies commitment to spend "stupid money" as they publicly announced months ago which is enticing Harper and Mochado to hold out for the largest contracts possible (rightfully so).

With that said, i'm pretty damn confident we are getting Harper as well. Especially after the Phillies just traded for his buddy JT Realmuto the other day.

Anyways, cool story bro. Apparently it's "down" to the Phillies and Giants but fuck that noise. Just sign it and let's go.

Giants have a lucrative short term deal with more money in those years than Philly can offer, allowing him to get another chance at free agency for even more money again. Plus hes west coast, puts him closer to home.

What that does is leave 'stupid money' just for Machado, stealing him from the White Sox.
