If you are welcher or blacklist tagged in any forum you are not allowed to participate. This freeroll is for people who have contributed to the Baseball forum. If you have not, don’t bother posting. If you are unsure if you are a rand, you can pm me and I will confirm, yes you are a rand. (I may not have time to tell you if you are a rand before prizes are awarded, you just won't be paid)
I would like to keep this thread fairly clean so if you are participating I expect that you will post your picks and use the other thread to talk smack, keep score, gloat, QQ, rage, flame etc.
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=79472588&f=201Now the fun stuff. Each contestant will choose 5 baseball teams for Saturdays games. You will receive 1 point for each run your teams score. The goal is to have the 5 teams that score the most cumulative runs. Pretty simple. There are no double headers currently scheduled. If there is a rainout Friday and a double header is scheduled for Saturday, you will only get the runs from the first game, period. The second game will be null. If there is a rainout on Saturday, sorry no points, so keep an eye on the weather. In some instances you need to specific. Don’t leaving me guessing which New York or which Sox you picked. You will get the lowest score. Once your picks are locked in (past the edit window), that’s it. No picks will be accepted after 1:05 pm est on Saturday.
Prizes (50k total)
1st = 15k
2nd = 10k
3rd = 5k
The balance will be divided equally by the rest of the top 10*.
If 1st and 2nd tie the prizes with be combined and split and then 3rd will get 5k. If 2nd and 3rd are tied the prizes will be combined and split. If there is a tie for 3rd and 4th (or more), each will get 5k. If there happens to be a 5-way tie for 3rd then each will get 5k and we will have 7 paid instead of 10. Conversely, there could be a tie for 10th so that 11 or 12 are paid. I am sure something will happen that is not covered by this so by entering you agree to accept my decision on prizes. I will pay out by Sunday morning in time for bets that day.
