As a fan of a team in a city with 2 teams, I never understood why someone can’t like/enjoy both.

As a Cubs fan, and most Cubs fans I know, only want good things for the White Sox. They have made some moves over the last few years that I think are great for there future, and could potentially be setting themselves up for something awesome. I enjoy going to Sox games(because it is insanely cheap) and I put them on tv all the time. I love their uniforms and everything really about the team

But it doesn’t go the other way. All the Sox fan friends I have fucking hate the Cubs. And all they do is talk shit about the Cubs on social media and in conversation. They are always picking apart and judging every move saying it’s a bad idea. They never stop. I had to delete some of them on Facebook cause literally all day long they are commenting on Cubs pages and other outlets bashing the Cubs lol

I just don’t get it.

It was possible before most of them realized they had a team right in the middle of 2010.

This. There was an explosion of bandwagoners circling the Giants when they were having their run. You know it's bad when you heard someone with a Giants hat say "Did Bumgarner score a touchdown?" and then proclaim that theyve been Giants fans since birth.

Needless to say the same is probably true for the Warriors so I know how the true Giants fans feel with these bandwagoners running wild giving them a bad name.

But yeah, the Giants bandwagon was fucking insane.

And @Emerican, I think the exact same is true for A's and Giants fans. Giants fans dont mind the A's and think they're harmless, whereas a lot of A's fans cannot stand the Giants. This is for many reasons, like how the A's never retain their good players and constantly trade them for prospects, while the Giants across the bridge go balls to the wall just to give a mediocre roster a shot at winning it all. And the organization isnt poor and doesnt play in a small market. They literally got kicked out the profit sharing because they weren't spending enough. There is such a different philosophy between how the two teams have been run lately, then you throw in a massive tide of clueless bandwagoners who dont even understand the basic rules of baseball into the mix, and you have a recipe for an intolerable mass of unappreciative retards. I dont even hate the Giants players, just the fans. If you experienced it in person over the years youd immediately understand.
