I don't know... it seems like unwanted attention to have a rude twitter beef like that. Makes the organization look petty.

Plus, it seemed like the Smath Mouth side was trying to offer an olive branch by doing the old "hey, let's just appreciate the fans," but the A's twitter operator just kept trying to spur the argument further.
