Surely this is the game the kid gets rocked right? He can't be as good as he has looked.
So far he's made two starts and one relief appearance. Two games against Toronto and one game against Texas which are two more elite lineups. He's yet to face a bad lineup in the Major Leagues so his adrenaline is probably still on maximum overdrive.
His numbers have been impressive (sample size): 1-0 with a 1.47 ERA and 21 strikeouts, 2 walks in 18.1 innings. An 0.76 WHIP. He could have been traded three weeks ago before the deadline had the Astros tried to add some veteran help.
But it's a good thing he wasn't dealt as we're not going to the playoffs this year.
Besides Jose Altuve having an MVP caliber season and Carlos Correa winning another "AL player of the week" last week, he's been one of the few bright spots lately during our recent slump (7-15 in our last 22 games).
