Got a chance to watch it last night, annnnnnnnd it was disappointing as fuck.

Great acting by Ethan Hawke, but it was a very low budget and just left a LOT to be desired. Very slow paced, but didn't develop into much. Felt very shallow, and ended abruptly.

I don't think that I have a bad taste in movies, and I like deep movies with great character development. Not into just action scenes and mindless special affects or action scenes. I'm a pretty big movie guy too.

With that said, this movie was disappointing. It simply lacks a very deep plot. I expected there to be a little more going on, but it was just a very dull movie with a LOT of very dragged out scenes where nothing happens. You essentially get to see the pressure he's feeling of being a top prospect, but it never really shows anything just him saying he's under pressure, over and over again....

It's not a baseball movie, I mean it's revolved around a baseball player but VERY little time is spent on the diamond. Which is okay, but the off-field shit just built up for a disappointing finish.

It's not horrible, but I expected more that's all. I'd say it's like a 6/10 or 6.5/10. Maybe my expectations were too high to begin. Great acting though.

Nah. Most people on a sports/gaming forum have terrible taste in everything, otherwise they wouldn't be here.

I still really don't know why I visit this site. I hardly post and it doesn't make me laugh anymore.
