pretty sure theres still intentional walks, it will be more mlb2k style where there isnt 4 balls thrown intentionally. and the strike zone will be raised, possibly, like 2 inches.

Stupidest ideas ever.

Seriously, who goes to a ballpark and complains how much time they're spending and wants it to go faster? All this stupid shit about Baseball trying to speed up the game is stupid as fuck.

There are so many things I've seen happen on intentional walks that you're wiping out an entire play that results in quite a few errant throws.

Not a fan but I'm not upset over it.

Hasn't happened yet either so no point worrying.

in theory, the strikezone change is great for the game.

the bottom of your knees (and sometimes lower since so many umps call a lower strikezone than necessary) shouldnt be a strike. 97mph fastball at the bottom knee is impossible to hit.

dont really give a shit about the intentional walk.

I don't mind the strikezone change but good luck to the umpires trying to decipher that small little change on a pitch that's going 95mph. I doubt it will do much to the shitty strikezone that most umps have had the past few seasons and you probably won't see much change.

I'm starting to get in favor of an electronic strike zone with how bad the umps are.

Me too. But even if it makes the slightest difference, it's worth it.

I'm all for electronic strikzones, but the mlb isn't close to that yet.

They just want to raise the strike zone to cause pitchers to elevate the ball more and cause more offense. I'm am tired of all sports trying to "create more offense" with various rule changes. Just leave the games alone.

well, unlike hockey and football, the younger crowd isnt taking to baseball the same way the middle aged/older crowd did.

theres no denying baseball is slower than football and hockey, so theyre trying to make the game more exciting to draw in new, younger fans. as much as i love baseball the way it is, this is the right thing for the mlb to do.
