*found this when googling my thought* - this is my first "POLL" here in 6 yrs posting here
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2354716-ranking-all-30-mlb-teams-on-homegrown-talent
First off, to be considered "homegrown," a player must have been drafted by an organization or signed by it as an amateur free agent, and I even decided to include foreign-born player who competed professionally in Japan, Cuba or Korea on this list.

I just want to limit my Poll to the last 5 years or so

List your team and players that you think qualify. In my Opinion your listed players should have played for your MLB Team and maybe even played in an All Star game or been recognized as talent.

Some Examples pushing 5 years StL and Pujols or even LA dudgers and Kemvp.

Really this just nags at me and when I see Story in CO I keep wondering where is that SD Super Star since Gwynn?????

Here what that site listed for my Padres - sickening actually. Damn we are a horrid franchise.
OF Will Venable 2005 12.6 out of baseball probably
LHP Cory Luebke 2007 3.0 tommy john and now gone an unknown
2B Jedd Gyorko 2010 2.5 filling in for injury
RHP Nick Vincent 2008 2.2 unknown talent traded
1B/OF Tommy Medica 2010 1.0 out of baseball probably
RHP Kevin Quackenbush 2011 0.7 struggling thought to be next closer...

not bias, but the giants and its not even fucking close

our entire infield and 2/3 of our bench

and 6/13 on the pitching staff

the only thing the giants havent done in a while is produce an outfielder

Harvey, deGrom, Matz, Familia .... and then idk the criteria but Syndergaard and Wheeler might be considered "home grown" just bc they spent time in the farm for a bit before coming up.

Would consider Thor a Mets prospect. Wasn't nearly as polished or massive prospect until after he was on Mets. He was supposed to be good, but not sure anyone thought this good.

They don't currently have that talent.

E: and it is their fault. Put the stadium somewhere people don't have to take a vacation to drive to and more people will yo.

Its still theirs, half of the best pitchers the in league are/were developed by the Rays

Half is obviously an exaggeration but the Rays produce damn good pitchers who all are traded before they bolt for a payday

Shields wasn't that good on Rays.
Kazmir wasn't good on Rays.
Matt Moore still hasn't been good.

Price was good.

Smyly was traded to them. Odorizzi was traded to them.

What best pitchers are you thinking of in the past five years.... Lol..
