Seems easy enough to figure out to me.

Easier to figure out than like 8 contracts the red Sox have on their books.

Great defensively, average-above average hitter. meh. not worth $20m+ a year to me imo.

hes great defensively, but hes so goofy and lanky when running it seems like he will get injured every play

You're right.

Paying 19m for God awful defense and an average-above average hitter with negative WAR in Hanley makes much more sense.

Or

Paying 19m for more God awful defense and another average-above average hitter with negative WAR in Pablo makes even more sense than Hanley.


Not to mention both of them were VERY BELOW average hitters last year and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt they can rebound.
