But to Cole's credit, statistically speaking it was one of the most unlucky seasons for him possible. Dude couldn't catch a break, aka it was sort of a freak season.

With that said, Philgods made it to the World Series that year with Hamels posting a 4+ ERA and being useless in the playoffs/WS. Clifton Phifer Lee carried the starting rotation that year, with Pedro Martinez helping and being quite useful. But we needed the World Series MVP back and he was a no-show after dominating the year before.

Cliff Lee was a monster for us in our first world series run, Won't ever forget what he did for us that season.
