Signed him to a short contract. I think it was great. We need his bat extremely badly if we want to make another run.
The few mill over what you might think he is worth is pretty irrelevant when the alternative is letting him go (possibly to the nats) and starting fringe guys.
He's not locked into a long deal that could go terribly.

Agreed completely. Mets needed him back no questions asked.

This was an INCREDIBLE deal for the Mets.

We're not committed long term, adds another year of WS contention and its a good number for cespy to maximize his earnings and hit the free agency again next year with a weak FA crop.

Things like this that make so much sense, never seem to happen. Glad one finally worked out for us.
