Guys like Altuve and Stuart? I was hoping one of them could make a new Houston Astros thread for the 2016 season. The old one I made was quite a few years ago when we were still an NL team. That was back when we had the most combined losses in all of baseball for a four-year stretch (before the 2015 turn around).

2015 ended on such a magical playoff run. They had the World Series champion Royals on the ropes in the ALDS (6 outs away from eliminating them) but just couldn't hold that 6-2 lead in the eighth inning at Minute Maid Park in Game 4. They also had leads of 4-1 and 2-0 in the other two games they lost in that series.

I think 2016, 2017 and 2018 (these next three years) will produce Houston's first World Series title.
Their young core of Keuchel, Altuve, Springer, and especially Correa (this kid is big time), is something really special right now.

2015 was a great experience. Being in first place for most of the season in the AL West. Losing the division lead to the Rangers down the strertch (the Rangers owned us all season long), and then winning the second wild-card spot and beating the almighty Yankees in the wild-card game.

To that exciting and heartbreaking ALDS with the Royals that went a full five games.
I felt like all of those highs, and especially the lows, will be beneficial for this young Astros team moving forward.

But make a new thread guys (red-bold if you can). I appreciate it if so.

We will never forget Gene Elston and Milo Hamilton. Two legendary Astros broadcasters that both passed away in 2015 as well.

I believe Carlos Correa can become the best player in all of baseball in the near future.
His rookie season in 2015 was phenomenal and he's only going to improve in all areas.
