At 35, he becomes the youngest GM in Phillies history.

"I wouldn't have left Mike Trout in his prime if I didn't believe we could win here."

"I have very ambitious goals. I want to win," Klentak said. "When is going to be dictated by the players. The game isn't about the guys who wear ties and sit at the table."

First news conference, and he certainly is one confident mother fucker who seems to have a plan. Good luck young man, you'll need it to survive if shit doesn't work out rofl.

Considering they have some solid prospects now, and obviously one of the biggest markets in baseball 3 years could be very possible.

If they were a small market team, then I'd say that'll be tough. But when you can throw big money around, and they can certainly throw big money around with the TV deal they have and the media market they're in...

Throwing money around can work, but it can also hurt tremendously. I've seen it first hand. It will be interesting to see how the new GM approaches this

Franco, Crawford and Nola are a great place to start.

No doubt, you forgot Odubel Herrera too though. This was just his rookie year and he slashed .296/.342/.415 with eight homers and 16 steals, accumulating 3.8 WAR in the process.

Ken Giles too, who looks like he could be the closer of the future.

But otherwise, there are quite a few holes, and the team is going to be very, very, very young.

The Phillies farm is pretty good, I think in a lackluster NL East they can bring it around quick.
