As things stand now, his postseason performance probably won't earn him a good contract next year. If he goes hitless in the WS, it wipes away any slight momentum he may have had towards getting paid.
If he pushes his HR streak to 10, he has one of all-time greatest streaks in the history of the game. Still not enough to earn him a Beltran-like contract, but it might help him get paid a bit more.
You have got to be the dumbest....so a guy carries his team through 2 rounds of playoffs and because he would go without a hit in the world series he would lose money?
