The Longview, Texas native turns 30 in March.
He hit .262 with 47 home runs and 117 RBIs this past year.

Some playoff teams this past year had really bad first basemen.
He could be a quick fix but a really expensive one. Is he worth it?

I'm not suggesting the Astros chase him. I think A.J. Reed will receive a hard look this spring.

I'd like to see him stay with the Baltimore Orioles. He has a good fan base there.
He seems like the type of good player the New York Yankees will overpay to sign.

It's basically a fait accompli that Davis will be leaving in the off season, since Orioles owner Peter Angelos doesn't like to spend money. He values maximizing profit margins more than winning.

I'll be interested to see what he gets in FA. Not many power hitters like him in the league. Plus he can play OF and 1B.
