I would almost rather him not be suspended so I can at least try to think the Umpires didn't rob the Mets of a victory in the playoffs. Almost every analysis + ex-ball player not associated with Utley said that it was a dirty, disgusting "slide".

So Utley was called safe on a slide that earned him a two game postseason suspension. Does this make sense to anybody?

The Dodgers won that game because Utley was called safe on the "slide", if they made the correct call then the inning would have been over. And now we know exactly what the correct call is because a player is getting suspended.
