Even without him (all season) the Giants have scored the 4th most runs in N.L. so far.

I agree it takes a lot more than 1 person to win.
Considering they are only a few games back I think Pence would have been enough to get them there.

But if woulda, shoulda, coulda mattered the Cubs would have a W.S. in the last 100+ years.

Hes only 1 guy and they are 7.5 games back.
Its a very probable no.

you cant pin it on one guy when, pence, panik, crawford, pegan, blanco, Aoki lost Peavy, and Cain for months to start the year, Lincecum has been junk and never really did much then finally got put on the dl, hudson we knew was only gunna be good for like 1/3 of the season

lost both back up catchers Susac and Sanchez at the same time

traded for a good pitcher in Mike Leake and then put him on the dl....



this season has been a mess.....


they didnt do anything with a starting staff going into the season that had huge holes and question marks behind MadGOD and we did this well, with heston stepping up



they need to fix it and not just let it go.

they need to rid themselfs of hudson, peavy, volgelsong, and lincecum (hes hurt and hasnt been good, give him a year and maybe give him a try out)

and cain..... idk what to do there he hasnt been good, hopefully shutting him down till spring training will do him some good, all that coin, we need him to be better





any way, his career high in was was 5.4 and last year was 3.8

so id say we would be a lot closer, and in those dodger games, maybe we get 2-3 more wins and were not in as big of a hole



but overall.... id say no, but we would be closer

WAR is not directly equivalent to wins its just a poorly named comparative stat
