Apparently the media and fans weren't pleased with the fact he chose to sell the team only 3 games out of a wild card.

I can understand, but not really though. I think for what its worth, he did his best to salvage a headstart in getting the right pieces. I don't think the Tigers had a chance this year, there were far too many good teams in the Wild Card to try to even attempt coming back.

I'm talking about the fans and medias response to the trades, not the owners approval. Not suggesting he got fired for trading the players away, but the fans weren't too happy about that. Cespedes even said through a translator that he didn't understand why they had given up so easily, during a Mets post game interview.
