there was no need for it though, the way infante was positioned if he just stayed standing there was no way infante would have gotten a throw off, and when you slide you aren't supposed to stick your spikes in the air. it's a legal but dirty play and definitly wasn't needed.
he didnt spike him... watch the replay lol, it was like shin on shin, his spikes were on the ground when they made impact, im not sure how that is spikes in the air rofl, except that every players spikes start in the air when they being to slide. if he went in with spikes he would have been thrown at his next at bat, even with the warnings after hunter was hit.
the guy on sn360 said same thing as me, take out slides and pitching in are part of the game. even the tigers announcers agree that infante should have gotten out of the way instead of trying to turn 2
