fastball got away and hit hunter on the bicep, he almost charged the mound but got held back by fielder but was screaming the whole time. redmond obviously has a lot of adrenaline going, and thats what i mean, hunter is a great guy, did not expect that from him

hunter was mostly fired up because of the whole rasmus thing

"Trust me, it's nothing against Redmond," Hunter said. "It was all Rasmus sliding late with his spikes up."

there was no need for it though, the way infante was positioned if he just stayed standing there was no way infante would have gotten a throw off, and when you slide you aren't supposed to stick your spikes in the air. it's a legal but dirty play and definitly wasn't needed.

he didnt spike him... watch the replay lol, it was like shin on shin, his spikes were on the ground when they made impact, im not sure how that is spikes in the air rofl, except that every players spikes start in the air when they being to slide. if he went in with spikes he would have been thrown at his next at bat, even with the warnings after hunter was hit.

the guy on sn360 said same thing as me, take out slides and pitching in are part of the game. even the tigers announcers agree that infante should have gotten out of the way instead of trying to turn 2

and infante was making the move to turn 2 why wouldnt rasmus go in hard? davis could have stumbled out of the box and rasmus wouldnt have known until after the play. leyland doesnt think it was dirty, he would have said something if he did, hes always been very outspoken

Gonna have to side with numone on this one. I know its legal and part of the game but I definitely dont like it when its done against us (I forgot who it was but someone on the Orioles was a dick about it every time we faced him...I think it was Adam Jones).
People who are 'okay' with it probably wont be when one of your better player gets injured due to it (ie Reyes)
