Turns out Arencibia is one of the best pitch framers in the league. He turns more balls into strikes than any other catcher, turns more strikes into balls than other top pitch framers but he has a fourth best differential. He also is praised by nearly every pitcher on this team for how well he handles the staff and for his game calling. So who cares that he doesn't throw out many runners or occasional gives up the passed ball, he's actually turning into a solid defensive catcher.
way to drink the koolaid after griffin lets JP have an article to talk about how great he is. what do you think his teammates are going to tell you? that he's terrible and they want him traded immediately? he's so good defensively that we can't even put him in 20% of our games in fear that he will literally cost us the game by himself.
