i totally agree, they had one of the best, and deepest starting rotations before the trades. they literally tried to fix shit not broken with something that fixated their only question mark. their offense.
ive been wondering how they been scoring runs for a couple years now, like consistently. that mold that kept the trend together is gone. and they are terrible.
their pitching didnt need to get THAT deep, i get what they did, for post season, but it didnt make sense past the samardzija trade.

and honestly, wanna know how? look at our pen. been a joke since the start of 2013 and they made moves... big moves. and its now one of the strongest in all of mlb.

edit: aka we are no longer depending on our starters to give us 7 or 8 to pray to god we get the win, we now just try to get to 5 or 6 and let them lock it down.

Pretty much the 2014 AL West champs.
even with a collapse, with only 18 games left, A's/M's would literally need to win every single game from here on out to even take the division, if angels go 10-8 and they win all 18 games in a row, angels still win the division over the M's, have a 1 game playoff with oakland.
