So what you're saying is you know they aren't going anywhere this year but yet you wanted them to trade decent prospects for a pitcher that is a FA in 2 months and still be terrible?

Solid return they got in my opinion.

Definitely a great return. Was really curious what kind of package they could get for him considering the Royals won't get draft pick compensation for Cueto if he walks this off-season. Since Lester was traded for an established big leaguer, this was the first real rental ace for prospects trade to set the market value for those type of guys(after the new CBA changes).

the real question is what happens with chapman

I was curious as well as to what they were going to send. I was surprised to see Finnegan in it. I didn't think they would get rid of him or Zimmer (even though Zimmer has had injury problems). Quite the haul to give up for 2 months.. but the Royals needed that #1 starter.

I heard they're asking an arm and a leg for him, although I could see the reds going full fire sale.

Apparently a few teams asked and made what they thought were legit offers, and the reds wanted like double lol

If they got that much for Cueto.. I can't imagine what they are asking for Chapman seeing as they get him next year and the team that trades for him will get a draft pick back.
