Rays got their second hit of the game in the bottom of the 8th. A leadoff single.

Cosart quickly gets another double play and then a tapper to the mound

8 shutout innings in his MLB debut. Two hits allowed. 2-0 Astros going to the top of the ninth.

I'm not sure if he'll finish it off and go for the complete game shutout or not.

Jarred Cosart is at 91 pitches. It appeared he was going back to the mound right before the commercial break.

Especially with the Marlins leading 7-3 in the bottom of the 7th.

LMAO, Rays have been batting in the bottom of the 9th for almost 20 minutes now.
Still 2-1 Astros but Rays have runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs.
All runs are unearned because the Astros made an error that could have won the game 2-0

What I like about Cosart is he pitches to contact. He got a lot of groundball outs (12 groundouts), 4 fly outs and the rest were pop ups.
I can't wait for Cosart's second big league start after the all-star break.
His fastball was consistently in the 94-to-96 range. He wasn't trying to get strikeouts though.
