What a play by nick

The run-saving grab by right fielder Markakis came when Adrian Beltre led off the Texas fourth. Markakis leaped and stuck his glove above the 8-foot wall to make the catch.

"I feel Beltre's pain, but it was a great play by Nick," All-Star shortstop J.J. Hardy said. "(Markakis) has been the guy for eight years and never been an All-Star. We all recognize it and I think the fans do too."

obv referring to mike trout and peter bourjos robbing jj hardy of hrs.

I was surprised kakis didn't make the ASG, considering he was slated to start beside Jones a couple weeks before voting ended. Lots of ballot stuffing I'm sure, coupled with kakis' numbers falling off a bit at the wrong time. I don't really think Bautista deserved to start, not even the best hitter on his team & strikes out a lot.

agreed oh well nick was, is, and will always be the most underrated right fielder in today's game nuff said. fuck allstar votes/game we have a future hofer if he keeps up at this pace. agree/disagree? at least have his number retired =)
