His hitting has been below expectations this year, batting .230 or w/e with 12 HR's. He had risp twice yesterday and ended the inning, although he did get a 2-run hr after the game was 8-3, but it was too little, too late by that point.

Hopefully the All Star break gives him some fuel.

as long as he's throwing out 40% of baserunners while doing 95% of the catching i'll cut him lotsa slack

Our pitching has been pretty bad the past couple games... and before that, when it was good vs the White sox and Yanks, we couldn't find our usual hitting. I remember going through a similar, equally frustrating period last year though, so it can get better. Hopefully getting Chen back can help some, and maybe Betemit can help the lineup too lol.
