I'm thinking August or so is when he will get his start, and i can't wait.

Yes, he's Major League ready although I don't know who the Astros will call up later this year. I feel Jarred Cosart, George Springer and Jonathan Singleton are worthy of a call up right now. Since May 18, the Astros have the best ERA in the Majors, which has sparked them to a competitive and winning record of 11-8, and 8-3 over their last 11 games. Mark Appel and Jarred Cosart will be our future 1-2 at the top. With Bud Norris and Lucas Harrell being a very formidable 3 and 4. All of a sudden we have a young and good starting rotation.

I'm actually excited for next season (2014) and looking forward to this spring training in March. The Astros will probably be ranked top three in terms of minor league talent going into next year (should be number one). They went from 30th ranked in 2009 to 5th overall going into this year. The rest of 2013 should be pretty useful to see the young kids play. They've been playing winning baseball for the past three weeks (11-8 record).

Jeff Luhnow is a brilliant general manger who did wonders for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Now he's going to work his magic in Houston.

We're competitive tonight against a heavily favored Royals team on the road. It will probably be a loss but I've enjoyed the game.

2-2 ballgame after 7 innings. Another quality start for Astros starting pitching.

We have to improve that bullpen this winter. That's our one major weakness right now. Our lineup is going to be good once George Springer and Jonathan Singleton are called up and starting in center field and first base. And in two years, Carlos Correa at shortstop. With a good bullpen and our starting rotation next year (Mark Appel and Jarred Cosart at the top), we should be close to a .500 team in 2014. Winning about 81 games.

Royals win 4-2. The good thing is these games are fun to watch even when we lose. It's been that way for the past month or so. Much better than earlier in the season when they were getting blown out every game back in April. I can enjoy a one or two-run loss that is tied in the late innings. Bo Porter is doing a good job as manager. You can see some good progression on this young team. All of our top prospects have not been called up yet either.

Astros are 12-17 overall on the road even with the loss tonight. Not bad at all.
Only 5 games under .500 compared to their awful road record the past two years.
