I'm at the point where I'd like Buck to take him out of the closing role. It's already unusual to have a contact pitcher as your closer, now the hits are catching up to him and he's allowing men on base every appearance it seems. When Buck went up to the mound, I got hopeful he was going to take JJ out and put in Matusz for the lefty-lefty matchup...

I don't want to be one of those what-have-you-done-for-me-lately fans, but seriously, I'm not even comfortable with a 2 or 3-run lead anymore.

As long as you guys dont deal for gregg and think thats the answer

What a dissapointment

this been on vacation watching, buck needs to figure out what to do with jj. send him down, rehab assignment, w/e get the mechanical issues fixed.

he's tied for blown saves and we have lost 25 games when we had the lead at one point...

I'd like to see O'day as closer. Submarine pitcher who gets K's, unlike JJ who pitches to contact which obviously isn't working for him.

I literally get nervous as f*ck when JJ takes the mound and we don't have more than a 5 run lead...

I hope he slays his mental demons and returns to form.

he really is turning into the new pedro strop unfortunately despite how good he's been. it def is a mental issue cuz we all know how good jj can be with that cutter. send him down for a rehab assignment imo.

what's peoples take on giving up on arrieta and strop and do you think we got the better end of the deal?
