That pop fly with two outs in the bottom of the 9th and bases loaded wins the game for the Pirates. But the last game Miguel Cabrera, with bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 9th, absolutely crushes it for what should have been a walk-off grand slam or three-run double but somehow it's caught at the wall. That's baseball! LOL

Second night in a row the Astros are playing the Pirates close but I expect another loss.

It's 2-1 Pirates in the bottom of the 7th right now.

Marlins are down 1-0 in the bottom of the 8th against the Diamondbacks. LOL, like they're going to win.

Marlins lose 1-0 to Arizona. That's seven losses in a row for Miami. What a joke. They're making it difficult for the Astros to clinch the first overall pick in 2014. We have to lose this game tonight just to tie the Marlins with an 11-32 record. Please hurry back and join that Marlins lineup, Mr. Giancarlo Stanton. He should come off the DL in a week or two.

Jose Altuve's third hit of the game. Astros have two on with no outs in the top of the 8th. They may come back and tie or win this game. I'm torn watching them play at this point. Part of me wants the first overall pick again next year, but a part of me knows that winning is what matters the most. Hello! You play to win the game!!!! Channeling the Herman Edwards inside of me.

Astros won 4-2 in 11 innings. I may have jinxed the Pirates earlier with that thread I made.
Jose Altuve returned to action tonight and was beasting as usual.

1. Marlins 11-32
2. Astros 12-31

The Marlins have to end their current seven-game losing streak soon. Man, they're going to out-suck us this year?
I want the first overall pick in 2014. But oh well, at least we'll enjoy the top pick on June 6 this year.

Astros lose 1-0 to the Pirates and the Marlins beat the Diamondbacks 2-1 to end their seven-game losing streak. Yeah buddy!

1. Astros 12-32
2. Marlins 12-32

Back in business for the first overall pick in 2014.

The Astros start a 8-game home stand tomorrow night: 3 with the Royals, 3 with the Athletics and 2 with the Rockies. And then a 5-game road trip: 2 with the Rockies and 3 with the Angels. The Astros should go 2-11 and maybe 1-12 or 0-13 during these upcoming games.

i wouldn't be too worried about whether you get the #1 or #2 pick, because IMO Gray and Appel are both similar talent levels

Oh, but we have the first overall pick in the 2013 draft in 17 days (June 6).

I'm talking about the 2014 MLB Draft next year. I have not really scouted the top prospects in that draft but I want the first overall pick, not second pick.

We can become the first MLB team to have three straight overall number one picks starting on opening day in 2016 or 2015.
