The bases weren't loaded. There was two on, and if he made that right it would have been two on base. Loup has been fantastic this season so even if this stings and cost us the game I can live with it.

The Jays have been incredibly unlucky this season, that can't continue. They're 7-11 right now but the Angels (Who had equally high expectations) have only won five games. People have to remember that last season the Tigers and Giants both struggled to stay around .500 untill August when they took off. The Jays struggles have come as a combination of cold streaks and extreme bad luck. It was mentioned today that the Jays are at the bottom of BABIP for both pitchers and hitters, which means that Jays hitters line drives/hard hit balls aren't finding holes and pitchers good pitches aren't finding gloves. That can't continue.

problem is we arent really seeing line drives, weak ground outs and loads of pop ups. not surprised by pitching being at the bottom, lots of errors and hits that could have been outs. their approach at the plate is still pathetic except for kawasaki, cabrera, lind, and encarnacion as of late. pettite yesterday recorded 4 outs on 4 pitches, that is just... pathetic. they are being over aggressive at the plate and paying for it.

offense is not a concern for me, it will get going
we are getting quality starts as of late and our bullpen looks pretty decent
it will all come together...soon...

The Jays have had a ridiculous amount of line drives and hard hit balls actually.

no, not really... lol. i havent missed a single moment of a game except last night. they hit the ball hard 5 times today that i saw, kawasaki line-out to third, encarnacion line-out to left, and cabrera had solid contact 3 times that i saw. other than that there wasnt 1 hard hit ball today. thats basically what its been every game lol

i can count the hard hit balls from now on if you want lol. its easy to do since there's so few

Babip isn't always an indication of luck. It's high for our pitching staff because for two weeks everything they threw was getting spanked.

They have been hitting them hard. Lind is a great example, he went several games before getting his first hit but almost every ball he hit was a hard hit grounder or a line drive. They've hit the ball hard all season when making contact save for a few players like Izturis, DeRosa and Bonifacio. The others have been hitting the ball hard but not getting anything from it.

No it's not, and that's why it's a flawed stat but it's still indicitive. Pitchers get hit hard like the Jays have but it's usually a balance of balls finding gloves and not. When Jays pitchers have beeen hit hard balls haven't been finding gloves, which is bad luck.

rasmus, no. either strike out or hit basically. 53 AB, 26 SO, 12 H, 5 BB. of his other 10 AB i can recall him popping out numerous times (has he had a ground ball out?)
arencibia about the same as rasmus
encarnacion was hitting nothing but weak ground balls/pop outs at the start of the year, can't even try to deny that. he has been hitting the ball hard lately and been rewarded
davis, lol so many pop outs, can't recall him grounding out except for 2 dp he hit into
bautista has had a few line outs
cabrera has had a few line outs
lind i pointed out more than once was smoking the ball and not being rewarded, then when he did start hitting hasn't started a game since 3 for 3 with a walk
reyes was lining everything he hit, but hes been out over a week
kawasaki hasn't been around long enough to say much, but he doesn't really hit the ball hard

so where are these hard hit balls coming from? :P i really will start counting their hard hit outs

also the team is currently hitting .181 with RISP, 20 hits/17 BB in 110 AB with 32 K, that is awful. 32 of 73 outs with RISP via the K, productive outs really need to come around! and i know very well the majority of those 41 other outs have not been hit hardly.

wow hitting .179 with runners on lol, i knew it was bad...
