They have been hitting them hard. Lind is a great example, he went several games before getting his first hit but almost every ball he hit was a hard hit grounder or a line drive. They've hit the ball hard all season when making contact save for a few players like Izturis, DeRosa and Bonifacio. The others have been hitting the ball hard but not getting anything from it.
rasmus, no. either strike out or hit basically. 53 AB, 26 SO, 12 H, 5 BB. of his other 10 AB i can recall him popping out numerous times (has he had a ground ball out?)
arencibia about the same as rasmus
encarnacion was hitting nothing but weak ground balls/pop outs at the start of the year, can't even try to deny that. he has been hitting the ball hard lately and been rewarded
davis, lol so many pop outs, can't recall him grounding out except for 2 dp he hit into
bautista has had a few line outs
cabrera has had a few line outs
lind i pointed out more than once was smoking the ball and not being rewarded, then when he did start hitting hasn't started a game since 3 for 3 with a walk
reyes was lining everything he hit, but hes been out over a week
kawasaki hasn't been around long enough to say much, but he doesn't really hit the ball hard
so where are these hard hit balls coming from?

i really will start counting their hard hit outs
also the team is currently hitting .181 with RISP, 20 hits/17 BB in 110 AB with 32 K, that is awful. 32 of 73 outs with RISP via the K, productive outs really need to come around! and i know very well the majority of those 41 other outs have not been hit hardly.
wow hitting .179 with runners on lol, i knew it was bad...
