As long as Davis is scoring / driving-in runs and getting on base, I'm fine with that.

He definitely has above average base-running skills / speed for a big guy, was a nice hit and run too.

It really is too bad about Strop. I don't get how he can tear it up in the WBC and then suck so bad now... maybe he just needs some time in the minors to dominate lesser hitters and get his swagger back. I loved last year when it was Strop setting it up for JJ, was like an unbeatable last 2 innings.

Maybe it's like what Wayne Kirby said about Jones (and his drops / errors on usually routine plays for Jones).. While he was playing in the WBC for Team USA, he didn't get to work on solidifying his fundamentals like he did in previous years.. taking hours of fly balls etc..

It could possibly go for Strop too, even though he was dominate in the WBC, it could be that he didn't get to work on some pitching fundamentals such as command and battlin through adversity.
