Really curious what the Padres do next year. Division could be wide open, in my opinion. Looking at their stats on ESPN now and they are the worst offense in the league last year considering home runs, batting average, slugging and on base percentage haha.

I remember their pitching being very good and having a Hell of a bullpen, just couldn't score runs. Could turn around with their signings but there's a lot of "if's", if Kemp plays like he did in the second half and stays healthy (lol, but I hope so) it could be real interesting. Would be nice to see them relevant for once, I'd prefer a contest for the division between them and SF than SF and Arizona, three California teams vying for a playoff spot or spots, haha.

EDIT -- That said, I think they take second behind the Dodgers (homer, but seriously? Ought to be a good team with that rotation and their lineup), maybe even grabbing a WC spot. Perhaps they can score enough wins off the rest of the division, including LA who they played well last year, to get their win count up.

matt shoemakers story is pretty awesome, cant believe he stuck it thru.

btw garrett richards has ace written all over him. u know last year he had the 12th lowest opp slug % in the HISTORY of baseball?
his avg velocity for his FB was 96.4, the fastest among all qualified major league starters last year.

Dude that Richards/Tanaka game early on the year last season (not sure if you watched this one), was epic. They were both on their A games and by god watching those two pitch that game, they have very filthy stuff.
Richards has ace material all over, so does Harvey and a few others if they are healthy.
