if gardner/swish could start hitting, it would be absolutely amazing.
imo, bring up jesus and vasquez, give them a shot.

wat
a usable LOOGY and another frontline starter are definitely more important.
The backend of the lineup should be at the end of the shopping list come trade deadline.

I agree it may be time to give Jesus a shot but hell no on Vazquez. There's a reason he is 29 years old and still hasn't had a cup of coffee in the majors-- he swings at everything. He is barely pushing a ~6% BB rate in the minors coupled with a horrendous 30% K rate. How do you think those numbers are going to translate from AAA to the majors? It would get ugly, real ugly. Andruw Jones is essentially the same player but Andruw can take a pitch or two.

at this point whats there to lose? can't hurt bringing someone up to try to give the back end a boost.
imo, if chavez can come back soon i wouldn't bring up vasquez anymore.

regardless, i think its time to give jesus a shot. cervelli batting like fucking .150? at this point, hes just a waste of a roster spot.
it doesn't help when you have cervelli and jorge in the back end of our order.

Yea it can hurt because 1) He isn't on the 40 man roster 2) There isn't a glaring need for a RHB off the bench.

Cervelli is doing what all back-up catchers do. If your only complaints are the back-up catcher and DH then your team is probably in good shape.
