Jay Bruce is not in the line-up for the Reds

Just about 30 minutes left. Astros are still trying to acquire one of the star closers, Aroldis Chapman or Craig Kimbrel.

It's going to down to the last few minutes. I'm worried and anxious being this late, but some deals can be announced even after the deadline, so long as the teams agree to the terms and Fax in the particular details to the league office before 4 P.M. Eastern.

It wouldn't be unusual for a trade to be announced 10 to 15 minutes after the deadline.

Worst case scenario: We whiff on landing that closer upgrade. And have to hope that Luke Gregerson pitches better.
