RIP Wine :(

Wine and Nevada both got locked in less than 24 hours. Woah, what happened? I thought they were both trusted users.

Anyways, the Blue Jays are going to be an exciting team to watch this season. I may have to jump on that bandwagon when the Astros are already 20 games out of first place in the AL West by early August.

I'm not sure who's the best team in the American League: Angels or Blue Jays?

Or do you think the Tigers will make it back to the World Series? I'm not sure they will. Yankees, Red Sox, Orioles, I just don't think they're as good a team as the Angels or Blue Jays. At least on paper. But who knows. Games are not played on paper.

Athletics and Rangers could be darkhorses but they didn't do a whole lot this off-season. I like the Lance Berkman addition for Texas but that's about it. He'll have to stay healthy to pay off for them. He's still a solid hitter and can produce in the clutch. Just two years ago he helped the Cardinals win the World Series against the Rangers with some amazing clutch hitting.

Detroit is a better team than the Jays, and they only got better from last year with adding Tori Hunter and getting V Martinez back. They are going to be scary. Also don't exclude the Rays with their pitching.

Toronto can definitely compete with Detroit though. I love the R.A. Dickey and Josh Johnson 1-2 punch at the top of the starting rotation. I also love the Mark Buehrle addition. With Ricky Romero and Brandon Morrow that's not a bad one through five.

And that lineup is really good one through nine. Reyes, Cabrera, Bautista, Encarncion, Lawrie, Rasmus, Lind, Arencibia and Bonifacio. I just don't know if Toronto's bullpen is good enough. Do you still have guys like Brett Cecil and J.A. Happ? If so they are relievers now?

J.A. Happ will probably be in the bullpen or a 6th starter if an injury arrises. Cecil will battle for a spot in the bullpen. We will also have Santos back this year and Janssen and Darren Oliver are coming off superb years. A lot of other names are up in the air, such as Brad Lincoln, Steve Delabar. Also some new faces like Esmil Rodgers from the Indians and Jeremy Jerffress. Will be interesting to see how our bullpen looks, lots of pitchers will be fighting for a spot.

I also forgot to mention Kyle Drabek. Any hope for him to return this season? I used to be a big fan of his father Doug Drabek way back in the day. That kid had such a promising future. What a real shame the way injuries slowed him down.

Happ has options so he'll go down before Cecil. Cecil doesn't and he's guarenteed to be picked up on waivers so unless they trade him I'm thinking Happ is in Buffalo.
