rolf why is everyone going hard for Jays?
-Added Reyes + JJ
-Average starter who is aging
-Replacement players in Izturis, Bonerfaceshow, etc.
-PED user with two years of outlier performance, one of which was due to PED use?
I was more excited for Boston when they got real guys like Adrian Gonazlez and Crawfish and looked how that turned out....
Jays were about an 80~84 win team before the trade (everyone being healthy, Romero not playing like a wet slice of turd)
They removed three absolutely worthless players on offense in Johnson, Escobar, Davis and replaced them with Reyes, Bonifacio, Izturis, Cabrera all of them a base running threat (which the Jays never had aside from Davis) and switch batters (Jays had a ton of problems on matchups)
Starters other than Morrow and Romero were questionable, and replaced the blanks with a true ace in JJ and a proven veteran in the AL that can get you 200+ innings guaranteed in Buehrle.
Replacing total trash and adding those key pieces = definitely worth getting hard/wet over
