Taking population out of consideration.. There are wayyy more busses and routes here, and the frequency is ridiculous. Some routes have a bus run every 5 minutes.
Busses have their own set of roads and highways as well, which speeds up travel times.

Do you expect TTC buses and subways to fly in the sky? When you have 50 million cars on the road, simultaneously and idiotic bike riders frequency is obviously delayed, bus routes will be lagged, so making more will just be nonsense.
TTC maintains 5 min runs on rush-hours times.


Ottawa is the capital of the country, Im not surprised they groom their services like that anyways. I love rubbing up against people on the subway every evening after school and offering lapdances for approx 20 minutes to get home.
