That makes it a little better, actually a lot better. Sadly those two guys instantly become the best two hitters in the line-up... w/ Uribe being the best one.

I hope this trade moves Murphy to another team somewhere.. He's a good guy but just doesn't have a position.

I just hope this isn't the "big" move the Mets think they need to make.

Honestly though, Juan Uribe is great because his jazz hands after every HR is a thing of beauty

Montero is hurt

He still has more upside than either pitcher that they got in return.


Looked at Whalen and he was like 23rd rated Mets prospect but it's not a bad return for two average players that will be free agents.

Montero always been rated high in their system and he hasn't done anything in like 5 years.
