lol sad he's doing better than everyone offensively on the Cubs not named Rizzo.

yeah cuz there's totally room for a DH in the National League.

I'm not saying what he's done isn't impressive because it is especially at his age and to miss a year and a half pretty much..

You could go the other way around and say sad that a 40 y/o DH is your best hitter on your team. Just shows you how bright the future is for the lolyankees.

Actually Gardner has been statistically our best hitter, and I'll take a healthy Jacoby next. Our rotation aside from CC is young, same with our bullpen. Sure we have a couple of aging players but Teix and A-Rod don't like they are aging much at all. I'm not saying their future is bright but Nova, Pineda, and Tanaka are all in their mid 20's. And no one expected the Yankees to be in first at this point of the season.

And yet collectively as a team we're second in baseball in runs scored behind only the monster BlueJays offense.

Tanaka will need tommy john eventually.. It's just a matter of time.. and I wouldn't consider him a #1 as he's pitching at about 80% and having to change his pitch style.
lol if you think Nova is a top end rotation or even better than a 4th/5th starter for a good team.

I'll give you Pineda although he's still inconsistent more than likely due to coming back from shoulder surgery.

and yeah I didn't expect them to be in 1st either.. we'll see how long they can sustain it with their age throughout a full season.

Tanaka hasn't been as good as last year, for sure, but that's not because he's "pitching at 80%". That's silly. His peripherals are almost identical to last year (24.9 K%, 4.8 BB%, 47.6 GB% in 2015 vs 26 K%, 3.9 BB%, 46.6 GB% last year). He's just struggled with start-to-start consistency(his starts have either been GREAT or bad. Not much in-between). His velocity is even higher this year(91.6mph this year vs 91.1mph last year) so if that's him "pitching at 80%", then lol.

And I don't think a single Yankees fan will tell you Nova is more than a 4th starter.

He's basically removed his most effective pitch from his reportiore due to it causing stress on his elbow if that's not pitching at less than 100% idk what is; you tell me.

Glad you can agree Nova sucks.
