How did Matusz look last night? I know he struck out three, but gave up a few hits. Was he consistent with his FB and breaking pitches?

he threw 80% fastballs
but looked good from my perspective.

he was obviously a little rusty just like all pitchers, but his fastball semed a lot more crisp than last season. He missed his spots a few times, but honestly unless you are Roy Halladay, etc....you aren't going to be hitting all your spots day 1 of ST lol.
I look forward to seeing him work his change and curve into next start, hopefully being able to go 2-3 innings with the same velocity.

yeah same for all our pitchers, though i didn't expect Teheran to give up 6 hr ....

Matusz has nice outing against Phillies 'A' team.
I still think he makes the rotation.
