Needed a new nickname for guys in the pen since the 3 Matts are no more lol. Lindstrom was hard to watch sometimes. One of those guys who has you on edge every outing.

Lindstrom actually improved his control by a lot these last few years. In Florida and even Houston he was hard as hell to watch lol.

yes!
now we have Gregg, Lindstrom, Simon.

fucking headaches every night lol

Yeah at least O'Dowd can justify the deal by acquiring a much needed innings eater, but I don't see where the Orioles benefit lol. Could have gotten at least a solid prospect from someone for Guthrie.

His speed and solid OBP could be the only thing keeping him in the majors. The problem is he cannot play any position at all.

apparently a lot of teams are scared off by his salary. From what I have heard, not many teams wanted to give up much for him.

His salary is high, but still less than Hammel/Lindstrom together jaja. And he's only got a year left on his deal. Wish you would have taken EYJR though. I was excited for a Hammel rebound this year.

yea it wasnt about money for the Orioles though.
I can totally understand their logic on this trade, but I think I would have gone in another direction.

EYJR/Hammel (if possible)
Or
EYJR/Lindstrom

But Orioles must really like Matt Antonelli and Swagdino to not take him.
A lot of fans are made because the orioles traded Guthrie, but he is a FA next season anyways.

Well just read that Guthrie agreed to a $8.2m deal, so the money is actually pretty close. I'm happy that the team finally has an interesting twitter guy since Ian Stewart was traded.
