The Orioles today announced that they have traded INF BRANDON SNYDER to the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash considerations.

Snyder, 25, batted .261/.312/.406 in 114 games with Triple-A Norfolk in 2011. He also appeared in six games for the Orioles, going 3-for-13.

With Jai Miller coming to the Orioles from Oakland, the Orioles 40-man roster remains full with these moves.

Good guy, but good riddance. He was a huge 1st round bust. And I hate to say it, but Dean Albany fucked us over with this shit. He is supposed to be one of the best "scouts" on the east coast but he really fucked us over by saying that Snyder was going to be a star. Of course they believed him because he was right about Gavin Floyd, and Teixeira before.

Chorye Spoone signed a minor league deal with Red Sox.
Local guy, had a lot of talent, but was simpy derailed by injuries.
Pretty sad when he signs with the sox over his hometown team, but i can't blame him.
Oriloles certainly cast him aside when Bergesen, Hernandez, Arrieta, Tillman, Matusz were all coming up through the system

You know, contrary to popular belief, I actually like what Dan Duquette has done so far with the team. He's investing in low-risk, high-upside minor league players with high on-base percentages.
While I agree we need to upgrade our pitching a great deal, I think we've made significant progress. So what if we don't get any big names... I still think we're a better team right now with young players, on paper.

I dont mind it either. I dont expect them to sign any big time guys. I think an adam jones trade is on the horizon though. Jai Miller and Endy chavez brought in would make it logical to think that

If that happens, we'll probably have the highest OBP for an outfield. Markakis can hit .400, Reimold .380 and Whomever in CF (not named Adam Jones) somewhere near.
I'm actually excited about these young guys coming in. I like the philosophy that OBP, small ball, and good pitching win games.

O's value Jones too high for a trade to happen atm. Rumors of wanting hanson (who also is overrated as fuck) are out there. I just don't see them letting him go for B level prospects which others are valuing him at

Hanson is blown out of proportion. Orioles probably just did their due diligence asking for him, like any team would do. The orioles want prospects or controlled guys in return, it's as simple as that

by the way, there is a very very very slim chance that the Orioles and Braves come to terms with a deal on Jones this off-season.

The Orioles are not going to budge from wanting two of their top pitching prospects, and the Braves are simply not going to give that up because they want to deal jurrjens/prado in some variant.

Unless one side caves, I suspect that nothing happens. I will say that Jones is not long for the Orioles organization at this point. He could be a HUGE trade piece at the trade deadline though
