Probably a backup in case Moreland gets hurt, or if Fatler gets hurt they could possibly move Moreland to DH and Ike to first.

It's a given. There's a reason they aren't unloading the pocket books right now. They are waiting for Teix, CC, Beltran, and a few others to get off the books. Once that happens, Harper will be in pinstripes once he becomes a FA.

Already have Tanaka, seems Japanese pitchers are such a risk nowadays.

Most of them get into the bigs, dominate until an injury plagues them.
