But all the alderman and other politicians can get the tickets for face value from the Cubs. Each alderman has the ability to purchase 2 tickets to every game of the playoffs and World Series for face value.
It's the secondary markets fault but they are no different than the idiots standing outside all day prior to game time trying to sell their tickets. A lot of it is just simple economics; supply & demand. Even season ticket holders sell at that mark-up because why wouldn't they if that's what the market is.
I do agree that it's a joke politicians get tickets for face value from the Cubs but that prolly has something to do with what the Rickets agreed to with them.
