Workman shouldn't be used as a reliever. The guy is a workhorse!
Is John Farrell just using him out of the pen to eat innings and rest the guys who will be the relievers come playoffs?

He had a few bad starts when he had his time in the rotation. Our rotation, with the resurgence of Buchholz, doesn't need workman, so I'm pretty sure Farrell just put him in the pen to be a 6 7 inning guy or a match up base, along with all the others. Tazawa 8 Kojigod close

I would keep Workman in AAA and starting, but I guess it's just to eat innings.
Why isn't Bogaerts getting more playing time?
