and the orioles have potential for a much large payroll than the Brewers, It wasnt too long ago that the Orioles had a payroll near 100mil and in ths 90's they WERE the highest payroll team, over the yankees and everyone.

You're missing the point. They still have Braun, and decided to stick with Braun until 2020 at least. Had there not been Braun, do you honestly think the Brewers wouldn't have thrown more money/years in Fielder's direction?

Orioles do not have a Braun/Fielder duo where they can only afford one of them..
