jesus when does Nick Williams get promoted

my eyes are about to bleed watching Bourjos try to play baseball.

edit: this is some classic phillies baseball right here in this inning good fukin lord wtf 2 outs were made cuz some tard tried to run home when they're not supposed to

They want that extra year of team control, I won't lie I really like how the Phillies rotation looks.

The phillies could be a fun team to watch come after the all star break.

8-1 in their last 9 games.

This is fun lmao.

Oh, and Odubel Herrera with 23 walks on the season (2nd most in MLB only behind Paul Goldschmidt) and a .462 OBP (3rd best in MLB). Where are the people on here that were telling me he wasn't a "notable" young player on the Phillies????? .313 Avg, .462 OBP. Leadoff ftw!

His entire career up until now he had a 1:3 bb:k ratio. Do you really think he will continue the 1:1 ratio he has maintained through the huge sample size 20ish games you are using?

I might as well make a Sean Rodriguez MVP thread rofl.

Brah, slow your roll. I never said he'd maintain .462 OBP like he has now, or anything like that. With that said, him finishing the season with a high OBP looks absolutely sustainable...

The second half of last season (as a rookie let me remind you) he hit .339 with a .396 OBP. He looks like he's picking up this season right off where he left last season...so what are you talking about "his entire career" because that's such a huge sample too right?

You want a bigger sample size? Based on what Herrera has shown with his bat and his eye over his last 102 games. Dating back to last June 28, Herrera has hit .331 with a .412 on-base percentage in exactly 405 plate appearances. There are only two players in baseball during that span who have come to the plate at least 400 times and have a higher OBP than Herrera: Joey Votto (.475) and Bryce Harper (.448).

His whole career includes his minor league career....where he had like 45 walks and like 150 strikeouts.

Don't get me wrong...I think he will be a solid starter.

I just don't think he will maintain the insane walk rate or the very high BABIP that he has either.
